Nurse Practitioner
A nurse practitioner is a registered nurse who works with the doctors and staff to provide primary health care services such as:
Therapeutic Services
Patient education - individual or group education as needed (diabetes, menopause workshops, bone health, etc.)
Mental Health Services
Services for adult and children, by appointment only
Emergency (911)
If you have an emergency call 911 immediately. An ambulance will take you to the nearest Emergency Department.
Tele-care (811)
Free and confidential healthcare advice with a registered nurse 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
- Lab services - on-site blood collection; specimen drop-off
- ECG
- Holter monitoring
- Out patient treatments - dressings; urgent care assessments; IV therapy; information/education for individuals or groups
- X-Ray
- Pulmonary rehab
- Smoking cessation
Nurse Practitioner
A nurse practitioner is a registered nurse who works with the doctors and staff to provide primary health care services such as:
- Order tests like X-Rays, Ultrasound, lab and mammograms
- Prescribe medications
- Provide chronic disease management for diseases such as diabetes and high blood pressure
- Treat minor injuries such as sprains or cuts
- Provide physical check-ups and tests such as PAP tests, breast exams, prostate tests
- Refer patients to a specialist, if required
Therapeutic Services
Patient education - individual or group education as needed (diabetes, menopause workshops, bone health, etc.)
- Physiotherapy - Mondays and Wednesdays, by appointment
- Dietitian (Nutrition counselling, Diabetes Education, Heart Health, and more) - by appointment
- Speech Language Pathology (Talk with Me Program - screenings & education for preschool children) - by appointment
