Harvey Community Garden
About the Garden
The Harvey Community Garden is located behind the Harvey Memorial Community Centre. The garden was formed by a group of interested community members who wanted to provide opportunities for people of all ages to learn basic gardening skills and better understand our food system. Participating gardeners will also have access to the resources and tools needed to grow their own fresh produce at very little cost, making healthy food more accessible.
Come Grow With Us!
Currently there are no fees to participate in the Community Garden. As a participant of the Community Garden, it is expected that you will assist in prepping the land for your garden, planting your seeds, and weed and water your plot regularly so that it is maintained properly and presentable. Garden mentors are available throughout the growing season to provide guidance and assistance. Community planting sessions and seed sharing is a common practice among gardeners as well!
Standard plot sizes are 4ftx10ft, and can be reserved by using the contact form below.
